Anomaly President Campaign Map & Regions
Plan day routes, know what is finished in Early Access, and reach night combat prepared.
Anomaly President alternates day campaign map decisions with night side-scrolling combat. The map is not a decorative menu—it is where you spend resources, recruit Fluffies, upgrade the Campaign Bus, and choose which anomalies you will face after sunset. Because Steam entered Early Access on 3 August 2026 with a planned year-plus roadmap, several map areas and the full story ending remain incomplete. This hub helps you explore efficiently without assuming every region on the poster is playable yet.
Start with Regions Overview for a zone-by-zone snapshot of what is in the build today versus what Phew Phew Games has teased. Then read Exploration Tips for route planning, node icons, and day-phase habits that keep your bus moving.
How the campaign map works
Each campaign day, you move along a node graph. Nodes may offer shops, events, Fluffy encounters, bus upgrade bays, or story beats. Selecting a node consumes time or fuel depending on the current patch rules—always read the tooltip before confirming. Your goal is to strengthen the party enough that the next night fight is fair, not to clear every icon on the first pass.
The Campaign Bus travels with you visually and mechanically. Bus upgrades unlocked during day phases carry into combat modifiers, Anomaly slots, or quality-of-life perks. Treat map movement and bus management as one system: a dead-end route with a great shop is sometimes worse than a shorter path to a recruitment event when your roster is thin.
Early Access map expectations
Phew Phew Games has been transparent that map coverage and narrative closure are still in progress. You may hit invisible walls, placeholder text, or locked regions that appear on art but not in the node graph. That is normal for this phase—not a sign you missed a secret key.
Community feedback on Discord influences which regions get finished first. When patches add nodes, update your mental route priority: new areas may outlevel old grind spots.
Very Positive Steam reception at launch suggests the core loop is satisfying even with gaps. Explore for fun, but do not soft-lock yourself chasing unfinished frontiers without saves or backup routes.
Day decisions that affect night combat
Map choices echo in combat through:
- Fluffy roster size and synergy.
- Anomaly Power loadout from bus modules.
- Resource buffers for healing or rerolls.
- Route difficulty flags on later nodes in the same chapter.
Skipping a recruitment node to rush a boss night often produces the mashy deaths players complain about in reviews. If nights feel overwhelming, backtrack on the map to safer income nodes—even if the story prompt pushes urgency.

Map and story completeness
Single-player only: solo play only map sync to worry about, but also no friend to revive you on a bad route pick. Story ending incomplete means some regions may end in to-be-continued screens. Screenshot dialogue if you care about lore; patches may rewrite lines.
When the final act ships, this hub will expand with endgame routes and true final node chains. Until then, label your saves before experimental detours.
Visual navigation habits
Keep one eye on bus fuel or day timers if the UI shows them. Pan the map slowly before committing—mis-clicks on dense node clusters waste runs. If the game supports map zoom, bind it comfortably via Keyboard and Mouse so you are not fighting UI during timed events.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is the full Anomaly President map available in Early Access?
No. Multiple areas and the story ending are still incomplete. Use Regions Overview for the current playable scope.
Does map choice affect night difficulty?
Yes. Node types, recruitment, and bus upgrades shape night encounters. Under-preparing on the map makes combat feel harder than intended.
Can I backtrack on the campaign map?
Depends on chapter rules in your build. Exploration Tips covers when reroutes and detours are safe.
